Glenwood Springs CO Real Estate

When I first drove through Glenwood Canyon it was like a magic tunnel to this place I hadn’t even dreamed of.  Doc Holliday came here to cure his tuberculosis in the hot springs, that surely have a curative power.  The Victorian homes in the central area, as well as the old west look of Grand Ave., are complemented perfectly by the timeless Hotel Colorado which takes you back to the day the Industrialist magnates mingled alongside the outlaws.

At an elevation of 5761.  The population of the town is 9,915.

The public school district is called Garfield RE-1. There are three elementary schools.  There is a free and public charter school called Two Rivers.   Glenwood Middle School and Glenwood High School round out the offerings. There is an alternative high school called Yampah.

Glenwood Springs was first called Defiance.

Outlaws and industrialists were far from the first. The Utes made this place home before the railroads found it.  Its only natural to live by a river, in this case, the confluence of the Roaring Fork and the Colorado.  Mountain views, wilderness, watching the water flow by. If you want Glenwood Springs, I can find the right property for you on your timeline.

Keller Williams is conveniently located at 826 Grand Ave.

Glenwood Springs is a recreation centric place.  Sunlight Mountain is a ski resort located in the White River National Forest. Some vacation rentals dot the mountainside on the way up.

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there is also a snowmobiling club.

The Roaring Fork River meets the Colorado river in Glenwood Springs, so I like to say is the place of 2 rivers and endless real estate possibilities.

It also makes Glenwood Springs a home base for a number of rafting companies.

Enjoy the Glenwood Springs Golf Course.

Other golf courses include Aspen Glen and Ironbridge which have neighborhoods and clubhouses.

Walk along the river or go on one of the many hikes available.  The restaurant scene is another amenity that make Glenwood Springs a great place for real estate investment.  It will always have a dimension of a hospitality community, but it also has a warm sense of year round long term community.
